Hi Dinasset (again),

When running Glass Frame Effect SE (Python version), if I select "Psychedelic" I get the following error: RuntimeError: Pattern 'Glasstic_8' not found.

This pattern was included with the pattern.zip (it was named Pattern_Glasstic8.jpg)
I renamed it to Glasstic_8.jpg (as shown in the error console). I still got the same error, so I exported it as a pat file, and still the same error occurs. I scanned the python script and only found one reference to "Glasstic_8" (other than the list of patterns at the start of the script).

Any thoughts?
I promise I'll stop bothering you soon !

Thanks,
adam933

Sorry, Adam, it's my fault.
The correct pattern is:

You said that you tried to rename the wrong one attached by me in the zip, but there is a well known problem in Gimp:
the name of the pattern used recognized by Gimp is the "description" and not the file name.
Thus better if you remove the one(s) you have and put the one attached above.
Sorry again and thanks for your participation in this game...

You do not bother me, ask all the necessary questions, please.

Once again, Dinasset to the rescue ! The pattern works, and so does the Psychedelic version.
Thank you for helping me and others.
Also, thanks for providing these amazing filters. You have made Gimp even more fun than it was before.

Can't wait to see what you come up with next.

Best regards,
adam933

Having received an input from mackenzieh that my filter PseudoHDREffect encounters problems in his environment (and likely in other similar) because of a call to a G'MIC function, I quickly edited a Special Edition without G'MIC.
Here it is for all those who suffer some G'MIC release incompatibility.

It should provide the same results as the original version.

Continuing on my activity to prepare/release special editions of my filters with no dependency on G'MIC, I release today:

derived from CrystallizeN.

(also the dependency on Mod_LCS has been removed)

Warning, Issabella discovered an error (a bug when not flattening the image), here the amended version.
Those who did download the previously released version should replace it.
Sorry.

Quite a lot I didn't enrich this thread.
Today it's time for a new "special edition" (i.e.-without the use of G'mic):
WoodcutCarvedEffectsSE
Stimulus came from a post of Francis under the original thread (one of my .scm scripts using G'mic).
I translated it into a python script and replaced any reference to G'mic with calls to Gimp functions.
Here it is:

DIEGO_ARTISTIC_WoodcutCarvedEffectsSE.zip [6.65 KiB]

There is a prerequisite:
"script-fu-lew-engrave"
if you don't have it already you can install my version:

ARTISTIC_engrave.zip [3.93 KiB]
Downloaded 277 times

(I changed only the menu)

I prepared an enhanced version of my second filter posted on these special filters repository:
"WireframeMapSE2"
Differences with Release 1.0:
- added the optional possibility to "clean" the net (pixels set to pure white)
- reduced the default net size
- added the optional possibility to have as a background:
- the current BG colour
- the current FG colour
- the current pattern
- added a white frame on the final outcome
Here it is:

I wil post some examples on the corresponding Art thread

No video tutorials available: download the filter, unzip, place it in your (user) plug-in folder and try
