Hi,
A bit of a change for 'ArrowsCreator' which is reflected by a new version number 0.4, but has the same client OS, Linux and Windows.
Those changes consist of a new button in the UI: 'Redraw the above arrow', for performance reason, so no longer the automatic arrow during a GIMP path drag;
and a curvy edge head for the path arrow, its more style 6 but had to use 'Redraw ...' and it use now both foreground colour in the shaft, background in tail and (if default pattern) head for that arrow style.

The same version can be used for a user installation or a Linux-root one and replace the previous version (0.3).
Its more comfortable to work on an image of reduce size, like with a longer side of around 800 px.

MareroQ, this has worked in, the 'official' GIMP-2.9.8 and GIMP-2.8.18 on my Windows! The reduce size there (2.9) has a quality that less troublesome then (2.8).

I have download it and more things should have been check.
Do you have in your GIMP profile a folder 'py_configs'? The file name 'ArrowsCreator-0.4_config.txt' there should contain the configuration info.

Only confirmation - it now works for Gimp 2.9.5.
Small problem with the messages - hidden under the main window ArrowsCreator.
Do you foresee adding a file translation?

This message don't appear for me! Is it related to your question about the translation?
My answer is that I expect to translate it, the base are there; but for a mature version so not before GIMP-2.10 .
Also my test of 'Gimp_to_Inkscape.py' on GIMP-2.9.5 gives an error for the rendering (pasting).

The configuration of ArrowsCreator-0.4 should now work as the one in version 0.3, and it begin by a description of the next config list.
So I replace the file in attachment with the new version. To use it you have to remove the old filename 'ArrowsCreator-0.4_config.txt' in GIMP profile './py_configs', if there, because its not compatible.
If you are on Windows with Partha's std 2.9.5 build; you have a limited time, from the window appearance, to start the creation the above file!
Barring other 'snafu', the next version of ArrowsCreator-0.4 will be after GIMP-2.9.6 .

As a photographer I find GIMP direction of development for version 2.10 appealing, but is not there yet! This third edit of version 0.4.0 (2017-03-30) was ready, so it should give you a better idea of it's direction.
This presentation is based on three images in the attachments section followed by some comments, here, on them.

The first picture is the window at the preregistration of this plug-in; where you select the launching tag, imagebar menu tree, default arrow style index and the discarded pattern index for the solid arrow head colour.

Second picture is a part screen capture for an image (this plug-in need an image), with no 'AC_vectors' present, during the installation of this vector the arrow buttons are inactive. The plug-in call it a first start.
In 'Status' the message is slightly different than the newer version at the first post of this thread.

Third picture is a composition of two parts screen captures. (1) after finishing the install of 'AC_vectors' and playing with arrow style 6; (2) after quitting the plug-in erasing 'AC_group' and recalling ArrowsCreator-0.4 for further style 6.
Resuming means there was an 'AC_vectors' present, 1 or 2 are the start first two options; after an 'Next...' action this heading, immediately after the title, will be replace by the 'Next...' heading to remember the last action.
(The 'Next element' button no longer inverse automatically the arrow.)

Finally I have opted for an error message, in the case of clicked 'Next...' button
with an empty active layer and the actual arrow in status. Partially blocking the 'Next...'
action, until a new arrow is in the active layer.
Also for style 5, you have only the circle with or without the label, if you select a 0 arrowing size.

Should be able to use it as a replacement to ArrowsCreator-0.3 on last GIMP-2.8 or, instead of, in GIMP-2.9.5 .

I will be happy to include it with the 'ArrowsCreator-0.4.1' package, if you allow, but it is a bit premature since the textual changes are not finish yet; even if the translation mechanism is there, mainly because I was expecting GIMP-2.9.6 earlier.
A way to contact, member to member, of GimpChat is using the PM, also, for member to many, you can include an attachment to your message.

Here is the last version of ArrowsCreator-0.4.1. Mostly work in the UI: make the pop-up stay on top, improve the 'dialog' for the label and the messages.
Seems to test OK on GIMP-2.9.6 and GIMP-2.8.18, on Windows 7 . Also make the translation current.

Title for 'Yes_No' pop-ups. Change the colour of dark orange, to improve visibility, and red for '(emp.)'.
Produce a warning if there is a miss-match between PSD and 'pygimp' version.
Put the empty layer name in the error message, from last actual arrow, which appears in Status.
Corrected a bug for empty layer.
Keep the translation current and a <b>string freeze</b>.
