Glad to hear it!
This script requires some transparency on the subject image to run.

I have found that just running 'colour to alpha' on a picture. (just like lowering the opacity) works well.
I used a picture with the background completely transparent and got one of the errors PM got. 'Most likely a plugin is trying to work on a layer that doesn't exist any longer'.

I cut out the entire background and came out with a very unique image. It's a little dark, but I think it's pretty sweet! I would post it, but for some reason anything I try to post comes up as an invalid image. Even images I posted earlier are now coming up as invalid. Hmmm??

I couldn't upload a png just now either PM. Was even a number put in front of the file name?
I am still using default strings, maybe changing the background or bubble layer. This time I healed the transparent area around the flower, ran colour to alpha on it, opened another flower on top and gave that one a black stroke around it then I ran Brian's Script after merging.

Sallyanne,
I believe this error caused when image is only black. The script does color to alpha on black steps and if there is no black left for the subject to work on that could be an error, I have not
test for that possibility as of yet. I could be wrong, but it is hard to tell without
the 'more information' from the error message and the subject image.

By the way, I do use color to alpha when preparing subject images from time to time,
it works well on some, but if the image is highly 'patterned' (when you do alpha to selection and most of the screen screen lights up with a fine pattern), I have not received great results from them as of yet.

I like your flower!

This script looks rad. I tested it with a square png, canvas remained square but the outcome was squashed/stretched.
How do I avoid this? Thank you in advance

Please post your subject and the outcome, along with
a screen shot of the dialog with your settings!
I will try to see what is happening. (also let me know if you are using Gmic 1.7.9)
Thank you!
Brian

I used default settings first, then I changed outcome and size to 2400.
ah, found the reason! Had to run layer to image size before spiderpaint.
Thanks for great plugin, I'll play with it sometime and post something in the another thread when I get pleasing result.

Finally got a chance to play with this filter, now that it runs in G'mic 2.0+. It gives an interesting effect, though it is very slow.

Sorry animicule, I have a problem. Having run the filter several times I now have the option no available, it is in light grey without option to run the filter. What can it be? I post how it is currently. :(
