just published, see:
http://gimpscripts.com/2017/05/printonstones/

this script process the input layer to create a look as if the image was "printed" on a stone texture.
It is important for the user to create a set of nice stone textures.
The release package - due to the size limitation - only contains:
- 2 samples of a flat stone texture, 1000*1000
- 2 samples of a chiseled stone texture, 200*200
First type of textures is mainly to be used selecting "rescale" (as the action on pattern) in the filter, to adapt the size of the texture to the image.
Second type of textures is mainly to be used selecting "none" (as the action on pattern) in the filter, to simulate a print on a wall of tiles (for that reason the sample are "chiseled").
I will post additional sets of textures.

Edit: just published version2 which supports Linux OS
look again at http://gimpscripts.com/2017/05/printonstones/

I wanted to post additional textures.
But also a .zip file is not uploaded ("the uploaded file is empty" ?!?).
So, for the moment, no additional stone textures, you have to find them thru internet.

OK, I succeeded in posting the additional sets of patterns under GIMP LEARN.
Please visit that site to download them.

I do not create for the moment an entry under Gimp Art, because images can't be uploaded.
Hope the problem is solved soon...

The filter creates a "temp_pat.pat" from the chosen one, maybe the instructions to create it are valid only for a Windows user; are you on Windows?

From another post of yours on another thread I saw that you are on Linux.
Possible that these sequence of statements does not work on Linux.
Because I cannot test even if I try some change, I post here that sequence:

    d_dir = pdb.gimp_gimprc_query ("gimp_dir")
    SLP_name = "temp_pat"
    SLP_name2 = d_dir+"\\patterns\\"+SLP_name+".pat"
    pdb.file_pat_save (temp_image, temp_layerfull, SLP_name2, "", SLP_name)

If someone running Linux is so kind to indicate the modifications needed to have the plug-in running on other OS including Linux and test them, I can amend the filter, thanks.

PS for whom will try to help me and other than Windows OS users:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
there is another similar sequence in the filter code, for creating a temp_pat.pat.
Hence, to test the amended filter in Linux, both have to be changed.
The statements are:
- at lines 355- 358 and 826-829

I did look at that,

at line 357
#    SLP_name2 = d_dir+"\\patterns\\"+SLP_name+".pat"
    SLP_name2 = d_dir + "/patterns/" + SLP_name + ".pat"

at line 829
#        T_name2 = d_dir+"\\patterns\\"+T_name+".pat"
        T_name2 = d_dir + "/patterns/" + T_name + ".pat"

providing chisel is off gives this
Image

Assuming script-fu-chisel is RobA's script enabling gives an error.

@dinasset

That too many parameters error, it could be the version of chisel.scm I have but commenting out one of the ccRoundness lines works here Kubuntu 16.04 / Gimp 2.8.22

the following 2 locations lines 761 and 780

                              ccRoundness,             #bevel roundness (0.1-1.0),
#                              ccRoundness,             #bevel power, #test

the string used for filtering the names of the patterns should be part of the patterns names in the set.
Which was your filtering string and which set did you want to use?

edit: easy check: look at the patterns Windows to see the patterns name and use the selector for the folder to limit the list

my chisel script (RobA July2008) has 11 parameters (after image, drawable), so it works here.
Can you double check?

Rich,
I modified the filter source to let it run both on Windows and Linux.
I can't post it here, I'll post under GIMP-LEARN, please have a look there, download it and test under Linux OS (if you are so kind again); I checked under Windows and it runs.

This is my first attempt. I did get an error message, but it worked!
What goes into "Filters for patterns"? I was originally putting the pattern file name here.
