A nice one Issabella, I like the textures in sky.
So i used a stencil effect to add more textures. I would like to moderate the saturation in certain case.

If you didn't ask for more saturation, i.e. "Saturate Outcome?"=False (default), an easy way is to:
- duplicate the layer
- desaturate it and set opacity approx to 50.0

In your case IMO it's enough 30%.

Dinasset, I really enjoy playing with this filter. Gives a nice texture to the photo. I also found that I can do selections. Used it on the flower as the background colors came out way too strong. Thanks again for this fine toy!

Yes, the selection may be useful sometimes, also as a mean to do some preprocessing on specific areas, for instance in your case to reduce brightness and saturation only on the BG before running the filter.

From time to time I revisit also Gimp Engrave, which I like too.
Hence I decided to create a very small filter as a result of my plays and post it here.
It applies twice the Engraving effect using different brightness of the source image.
It applies too a "material" layer (beware: by default it takes the current pattern, so choose the one you prefer before launching the filter).
If you like, you may also apply the engraving effect with a slope.

pls note that the "material" influences very softly the outcome.

If you prefer to let the material structure emerge more do the following:
- run the filter with Flatten=No
- set off the visibility of Top Layer
- increase at your taste the opacity of ther Material layer
