First I installed Fedora 28 and tested the old RPM built 9 years ago. It had no animation filters
Then I compiled MathMap, made an RPM and it works very well on Fedora 28.
Then I installed Fedora 28 on another machine for testing and it works with both Gimp 2.8 and Gimp 2.10.2.
It can be downloaded from here:
http://schani.github.io/mathmap/I'm not sure how many people use Fedora, but this RPM could work in other RPM-based operating systems.
It may need gsl-devel but that is the only dependency.
I'm interested in any feedback on this, especially anyone using MathMap Composer.
I've found almost all of the many filters can be used for animation if put in the right sequence. Not all series work in MathMap Composer and I think there are mathematical reasons for that.
I will write or video a howto on making cool animations with Gimp MathMap.
