(Version 0.02 was not released)
Changes from version 0.01:
Changed wording of one of the items in the dialog from ‘Restrict’ to ‘Constrain’.
Filter looks for both the ‘shine’ and ‘shine-001b’ and calls one if it is available.
Provided the facility to call the ‘Shine’ and/or ‘Chisel’ plugins to work on layers without adding an outline when the outline width is set to zero (merge layers still needs to be set to ‘Yes’).
One pixel width trimmed off the final letter layer to reduce haloing effect.
Default Chisel elevation changed from 30 to 45 degrees.
With the main addition to the filter in this update you can now apply a shine or chisel effect to all layers (almost like a batch effect) without actually adding a new outline. You could, if you wanted to, add a further shine, or chisel, to letter layers that have already had that effect applied.
Recently I have used shine with a number of font faces – a quick way of perking up the look of a custom font (see link):
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=16653To redress the balance, here are a few examples to show the effects of changing the elevation setting when using the chisel option – and the difference between the hard and soft chisel effect.
