Ella, as usual, you have got very nice results. This filter gives many different effects, not like paintings as you say. I think it is another concept, but art too.

thanks a lot for having spent time experimenting my new toy, even if not "your cup of tea".
This has been a proof of a great friendship, I really appreciate it; thanks.
If and only if you will find again time for doing some tries, I want to show a couple of examples of what you can get just playing a bit.
In both these examples the "trick" has been to increase the size of the outcome (first parameter of the filter), so that the patterns -being fixed in size- become smaller, then overimposing the original and applying a BW mask.



(note that I used two sets I like, you may choose others you prefer)

Diego, as you know, I appreciate the effort you make to design filters. And I wanted to be honest. I like your last result better. I'm convinced that with more technical experience about colors, patterns etc. than mine, one can achieve beautiful results. Sometimes it's also my lack of patience to experiment that plays tricks on me. I always want to do so many other things as well...

I only wanted to point your attention to the fact that any filter is a tool which represents a series of gimp steps; sometimes it produces agreable results per se (this is always my goal), but some other times the result has to be a bit interpreted (varying default parameters) and pre- or post-processed to be closer to our taste.

Apologize for taking so long to post with your new filter, Dinasset. Had very little time for the computer and still having problems with 2.10.6. Then last night we kept losing the wifi so I could not access the internet. I like this filter a lot!
