I have updated the layers utilities to include a feature to add missing lower-case letters to a custom font by copying and scaling the existing upper-case letters.

To enable this feature the filter looks for a path called base_line.png which determines the baseline position of the new characters (it takes this y co-ordinate information from the first anchor point in the named path).

The user can set the percentage to scale the new layers to and also adjust the amount of space for the new character margins.

The option has its limitations (see below) and I would suggest that the user checks the new layers to tweak the position of any layers where necessary.
