I just clicked on the link at the top of the page for "Latest GIMP Scripts & Plugins", which goes to gimpscripts.com. I got an error messate stating that the domain has been suspended for "incomplete WhoIs verification". Is the site down permanently, or is this a temporary thing?

Its pretty much permanent now. The gimpscripts admin had health issues and the site went off the internet.

I think some of it is here:

If you need a script or plug-in, ask here in the forums. One of us may have it.

Then perhaps the link should be removed from the top of these forum pages?

I thought that registry.gimp.org was a different site. Is that not the case?

Somebody copied all the Scripts and Plugins from gimp.registry.org into a Github page. You can download all the scripts and plugins into your PC, here is the link: https://github.com/pixlsus/registry.gim ... y.gimp.org

The folder name "Files" have all the scripts and plugins there were in the website gimp regestry.

Thanks, Pat. I really just wanted to browse around and see what's out there. It would be nice to have a "catalog" of sorts somewhere, with description, demos, and download links, maybe "best practices" or "recommended settings" so we can see what each one does.

No one has access to changing the site except for the owner and the owner only jumps in if the site is broken.

Must be these guys.

However

Sorry, we had to truncate this directory to 1,000 files. 383 entries were omitted from the list.

so some useful scripts are not shown.

Be careful. Some if not most may not even be compatible with GIMP-2.10.

It would be if the 'owner' of this site ever came here.
The previous Founder/owner of Gimp Chat also owned the Gimp Scripts site and it has been mentioned why we do not see him.

Ahh. Makes sense. I'm surprised this forum hasn't died also, then.

One of the main reasons that this site has not dies is because Wallace so generously gives of his time to do what he can as moderator. Also there are other members who are quite active with scripts and results, and Tran keeps his Gimp Learn site closely connected. Gimp Chat’s active members are who keep it going even with a ‘ghost’ owner.

Last I checked the domain name server Scott used was waiting for him to re verify the domain. They are still waiting. Perhaps one of us should try and call Scott?
