I edited the script to work in GIMP-2.10.8 I attached it here.
You will find it under Script-Fu>Glossy Sphere in the GIMP menus.

The old script and its author can be found here.

I also edited all my scripts and they are all now working in GIMP-2.10.8
They are also attached in a zip folder. Just unzip to your scripts folder.
All will be found under Rod>Alpha To Logo and Rod>Artistic

Woops you will need these two patterns for one of the scripts.

Just place them both in your patterns folder and either restart GIMP or refresh your patterns.

Thanks for fixes Rod, I had fixed the pop-out effect & embroidery stitcher earlier.
Embroidery stitcher is one of my favourite scripts, real good with making fabric patches.
