Hi,
I'm a newbee, so my question.
Under Gimp 2.8.22 the file/create menu had 9 submenu's.
Under Gimp 2.10 only the submenu's 1 - 4 (from clipboard, from webpage, scanner/camera, screenshot) are visible and the submenu's 5- 9 ( buttons, logos, new brush from text, patterns, web page themes) aren't visible.
How can I solve this?

You can solve it at least partially by installing some (scripts, patterns, brushes) of the gimp-data-extras, which were not included in 2.10

I'm using Linux and scanning via sane.
The gradients entry I had in 2.8 included only custom gradients AFAIK.
Buttons had 2: Simple button and beveled button.
Other entries: Brush from text, web page themes. No idea how to get these into 2.10, never used them.

Brush from text is a python plugin, not included in that data-extras package.

Makes an animated brush. Same as you, never used it much. Can be used with a dynamic for an effect.



Attached for anyone interested. The usual, unzip, put in your Gimp profile plug-ins folder. Find in File -> Create.
