This plug-in simulates paper folding and cutting.
You run script once to create paper fold, then edit, cut, color the fold then you run the script again with "Unfold" to get paper snow flake.

Version 2 added which allows you to choose 1st option of fold to be 12ths (Actual Snow flake folding) so that you'd get a 6 leaf pattern.

We could like do it like an elementary art project where we make many different snow flakes.
Each person create a snow flake with radius 500, then after they're done they can scale down to 200x200 snow flake.
Then at the end i can put them all together like a class project (We're all in the same class, "grade GIMP!"). hhee

You can submit your snowflake here: https://gimplearn.net/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=2441

I assume you can do this with a blank image? I opened a picture and only got a white one back.
Of course I coloured it. Image

version 3 unfolds any image if you already have alpha channel.
version 4 will add alpha channel before unfolding if you don't have an alpha channel already.

Version 5.
Added ability to do 3-leaf (6ths), 5-leaf, 7-leaf, and 9-leaf.
Here's a sample using 9-leaf(18ths).

Snow-flakes submitted so far...
If you submit it on GL I can view showcase.php and just type in showcase-noname.php in the url instead and it shows me the submitted work without usernames so it's a nice collection.

OK; took me way too long to get the symbols to symmetrically align to the edge of the wedge but had fun doing so. :)
