This is one of my favorite plugins.
(and since I have a computer with Win10_64bit so I built the GIMP compilation environment - and I can go back to compiling the old plugins).

FelimageNoise is a GIMP plugin, originally developed, to generate noise patterns, but with feature sizes larger than a single pixel.
It can generate tileable textures, textures for use in spherical mapping.
It can use foreground/background colors, gradients and independent RGBA channels or warp an image.
It implemens several noise functions, such as FBM (Fractal Brownian Motion) and Multifractal textures,
with complete control, to allow for animation of noise (useful to generate animation frames), as well as complete presets management.

Here a linux (64 bit) contribution

Un-zip Put the folder felimage and plugin felimage-noise in your plug-ins folder ~/.config/GIMP/2.10/plug-ins Should be executable but check anyway.

Shows in Filters -> Render -> Felimage -> Noise Then set the path to the /felimage/noise folder in the Presets tab.

Works in 'buntu (and Mint ) Good chance it works in other distros.

MareroQ - thanks for this; but just FYI and much to my surprise, as I was re-starting GIMP to include the plug-in, my AVG cyber security window popped up and told me "You have discovered a very rare file". The message then advised that the file was being sent to AVG HQ for 'interrogation' and a response will be available within 57 minutes. Big Brother maybe

My antivirus (AVAST 19.8.2393) behaves similarly.
This significantly delays the compilation (or first run) time - however, the information received "File is safe" is accompanied by thank you for enlarging the database.
What is the AVG response?

First I thought about "Liana Lizard (Indiana Jones logo style) and the hunt for lost tale." but the freeware Indy font isn't that nice and I haven't played with Gimp tools that you can use to envelope text like it is in the Superman or Indiana Jones logos.

I found the plugin here for older gimp versions http://fimg-gmplugins.sourceforge.net/docs.php. I put it first in my plugin user folders, then in the program files folder trying to get it to show up in my 2.8.22 gimp. Windows 10.

It didn't, so I then tried to open the exe on my desktop and get an error that I am missing libgimp-2.0.0.dll.

Will getting this file fix it? If so, where can I get it?

For Win and Gimp 2.8 there is only the 32bit version.
Location of the standard (*.exe) plugin - in the plug-ins folder.

According to your first post, you attached a windows 10 64bit file. Also will it work for Gimp 2.10.14?

As for me in Gimp 2.10.14 Win 10_64 bit works very well

For me the plug-in can be found here:
