After many trials and step by step modifications/enhancements, I consider the filter created to simulate -using G'mic Engrave- a fake Van Gogh look enough "complete" and "stable".
Hence I decided to post it here, for those who want to experiment it.

I prepared a new release with 4 possible different outcomes.

During the process it makes use of a pattern, to increase the "texture" of the source image. I've prepared many, and post just one.

You may of course define and use your own, just take into account that the pattern is rescaled according to the source image to which it's applied; I choose a size of 1000 which seems to be rescaled efficiently; do not create/use too small patterns.
