So I am brand new to the site, and I spotted a link at the top of the pages, "Latest Gimp Scripts & Plug-ins", so I clicked on it. A new tab opens up, I like that, but it seems the web site "gimpscripts" is down until someone meets some new requirements. I hope it will be restored soon? The Internet Archive Wayback Machine can sometimes come to the rescue in these cases. Here is the last site scan they did, I believe, 2017 November 24. I did try to add links but it seems that new people can't do links, I kept getting the error "Your post looks too spamy for a new user, please remove off-site URLs"

Post a few times and you'll be good to go on links. However, the GimpScripts page, AFAIK, requires attention from someone who owns the Domain. It's anybody's guess when that, or if that will happen. Wallace will be around soon to update you further. In the meantime, some users have sourceforge pages and websites and host their own scripts and plugins. Tin at GimpLearn makes many to user requests. Ofnuts makes a lot of PATH related plugins that we all enjoy. Keep an eye out for him and his guano. :hehe

Sorry about this.
The link should have been removed some time ago.
As Pocholo has pointed out,
that using the Internet Arcive/Wayback Machine.
Is the one of the only ways to access the site.

Wallace - why are you explaining the mistake of others?
We know whose fault it is. :yes
A proposal was made:
viewtopic.php?f=15&t=18388
Maybe we start with saving-rebuilding GimpScript?
We would see how it can work.
Some scripts and plugins are out of date - but a lot has already been updated in this forum.

I don't want people to jump ship.
GC needs mods and admin.
Rebuilding Gimp Scripts is a good plan,
but not simple to implement or maintain.
