Christmas before you know it it's around the corner and I decided to create my very own Christmas bauble version.

They are nice - especially the stripey one.

I'm just getting a blank image every time.

If pattern is not selected it comes up blank, if I add a pattern, it works. The layers are out of sequence, as well. Text is hidden behind the ball, etc.

You need to select if you want the color? or pattern?. Click to change to "Yes" either or from the toggle choices. otherwise it will give you just the Background layer. Choose any the color from the color selector or any seamless pattern from the pattern selector.

Ok, it's working now except that I don't get any text.

I see, text only works with colour selected instead of pattern.

If you don't have the Christmas font, you need to choose other font that you want on the bauble, otherwise it wont find it in your fonts. This is the "Merry Christmas font", it's free for personal use: https://www.1001freefonts.com/merry-christmas.font

I'm running cylinder on the crown base. Thinking of a different way to approach this, though. Probably pinch.

Nah, just place the base image below the sphere.

If you choose "pattern" that layer will be above the text layer ... so you won't see the text though it's there.
At least that's my outcome.

I've tried a few ways and for me, if colour=No, I don't get a text layer at all.

I only made the Text to go with the color. In pattern mode, I did not wanted to cover the pattern on the bauble; and for the pattern would be appreciated, I did not put any text.

That's perfectly cool. If we want pattern with text we can just enable both colour and pattern then juggle the layers a bit.

Hi Erisian. I made that you can add tex to the Pattern mode choice. You can download the the pm_christmas_bauble_v2.py on the initial post. Let me know how it work out, please.
