Hi there,
there is the filter
"1BA_SpiderPaint_v2c_qt2.py" also for the Gimp version 2.10 and G'Mic QT?

I am very happy about a message!

Best regards, Hardy

Hardy 111, I have this one. It's an old version. Perhaps you can actualize it to use currently. :bigthup

Hello Issabella,
thank you for your link. I use Gimp version
2.10.12 german and G'Mic QT. Unfortunately
the filter does not work under this constellation.

Greetings from Germany Hardy

Sorry Hardy, that it doesn't work for you. Hopefully, somebody of our great coders was able to repair it. Luck!

No that is same version. You can see the post is edited 2017, it was made for 2.8.16.
I tried yesterday, got all the layer modes fixed but it still gave some error and I had to go sleep.
I'm sure it will be fixed in no time.

You can try this version.
I only tested for Gimp 2.10.18, G'mic 2.8.4.
Just beware - as Nidhogg wrote, it is possible that some combinations of parameters give errors (this is a slow plugin and I haven't tested many combinations).
I've made 70 corrections - maybe more will be needed. :cool

Older version removed.
You can download from here:

I'm running into same exact error than earlier.

....BA_SpiderPaint_v2.10_qt2.py", line 789, in BA_SpiderPaint_v2_10_qt2
lay5.mode = LAYER_MODE_SCREEN_LEGACY
error: could not set mode on layer (ID 173)

This is 2.10.12, MX Linux. I will try on another machine.

Hello MareroQ,
Thank you for adapting to Gimp 2.10 and G'Mic QT.
For me the plug-in runs under Gimp 2.10.12 german
and works without problems. In this way I would like
to thank you again for the adjustment.

Greetings from Germany Hardy

Do Brian's other plugins work? I ask because I've tried them in the past and they have failed.

I'm talking about the ones in your screen shot. Do they work for GIMP 2.10 windows 64 Bit? If they do, where can I find them?

MareroQ.
BA_Spider Paint stops at that point (see the shot)
I'm sure the image has an alpha channel. What can it be?
Thank you so much for your attention.

Hi Issabella.

Thanks for reporting.
I forgot to remove the old version from post # 7 (fixed)
You can download the corrected version from here (two possibilities):
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=18138#p248848

Off topic:
Why are you using the old version of gimpfu.py (despite some errors like eg.: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=18927#p258561)?
Have you tried to install a newer version:
https://www.gimpscripts.net/2020/10/pyt ... hrink.html
Was there a problem?

Thank you so much MareroQ, but the problem continues.

I don't get to make Spider Paint work. any of the two versions.
About gimpfu. Yes, I tried the newer version and I had many problems. it affected to BRL logos.

The command name has changed in G'mic.
Can You try again?
BRL = Bevel-Reflect-Logo.scm?
More details (because these are two separate things - gimpfu.py only affects python plugins and only script-fu.exe for scripts).
