With a few modifications with respect to the old version (still running) published years ago, I post here below the set of the updated version, for those interested.

Main filter (execution filter), which runs both standalone and called using presets (see):

It requires chisel.scm, if you do not have it already installed here it is:

chisel.7z [2.68 KiB]
Downloaded 35 times

In the next post the (optional) caller, if you like to work with presets of parameters, depending on image type.

please look at post #6 for current release

The optional caller, useful to run the executor (see previous post) using predefined (by you) parameters:

The presets file I prepared for myself and which each user has to customize according to her/his preferences (are simply text files)

please look at post #6 for current release

Just a note: when I recovered the old version of the main executor, I found it still running, so if you have the old version you may continue using it if you prefer so.
Likely also the old caller is still running but I didn't verify.

I've continued applying some (little) modification to the main filter, while during my tests I came to the conclusione that is useless to have presets based on the image type.
The parameters to run have to be changed based on the complexity of the image (not the type), and of course on the taste of the user. Hence I will not go further with the "caller" program and is no more part of the set.

The set of OPUS VERMICULATUM VITREUM 2023:

the filter:

Downloaded 27 times

the prerequisite script:

chisel.7z [2.68 KiB]

the used optional patterns set:
(thanks MareroQ for mentioning what I forgot in the previous post)
Attachment:
SG_Patterns.7z [3.77 MiB]
Downloaded 25 times

I said "optional" because the filter can use other patterns you should prefer and have selectable when Gimp is running

I installed the file in plugins and made it executable but it is not showing in Gimp. Your other filters show, it's just this one that doesn't and I couldn't find it in the procedure browser either.

I hope someone can help you (and me too, if there is something to modify), I'm not a system expert.
