Create your basic design and call the filter from

Filters>>SeamStress v 1.2

The diagonal pattern follows GJL's method for creating seamless tiles.

An example using one of the block print type options (images from Wikipedia Commons) to create a basic Half brick tile with a transparent background:

Turned out very well Lula - all your Gimping is of a very high standard. :clap

If the first attempt doesn't work as well as you hoped, when patterned, it is worth repeating the plug-in one ot two times to see if things can be improved.
