Brian Andersen or Animicule has written a lot of plugins for Gimp-2.8.
For obvious reasons, to make them work in Gimp-2.10, I made minor modifications.
Because I think such good plugins should be used a few more newly adapted, I would like to introduce here.
The source image (you recognize?) has been greatly reduced due to the size limitations of the attachment and the resulting image is very random.
All plugins on the Gimp's menu are: Filters -> Artistic -> Brian

SpiderPaint
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=15440

Attention:
You must use an image with alpha and transparency. Even if the
transparency is a 1 pixel eraser in a corner.
A plug-in with this patch can be downloaded in the post#32 (not yet updated for the change in G'mic: -fx_morpho_v2 --> -fx_morphological)
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=18138&p=248928#p248928
.

Edit 25/11/2020:
In G'MIC command -fx_morpho_v2 does not exist anymore, this was replaced with a command: fx_morphological

So very nice of you to fix the scripts for 2.10. Thank you again. I do not know what happened with Brian. I still hope he is coming back.

Thank you MareroQ. Still running into errors with Spiderpaint, also on Windows.
I'm still using 2.10.12 will try 2.10.18.

@Pat625
I hope so too
Animicule Last active: 29 Nov 2018 on the forum gimplearn.net
It doesn't mean anything yet.

@Nidhogg
I can't repeat this mistake.
Can you add this code to the plugin and run it?

import sys
sys.stderr = open('C:/Tests/python-fu-output.txt','a')
sys.stdout=sys.stderr

method described here

I added and then I didn't see the plug-in at all on Windows.
It was the same error I had on Linux, posted in the other topic.

Hi there,
with the script BA_Exaggeration.py
the menu item "Switch modes on top 2 layers" does not work.

Best regards, Hardy

Hope this can help.
Installed Spider Paint.
Run with defaults.
After many performed steps I got this error (Windows 64, Samj's portable 2.10.18).
