Gimp has a new filter that does pixel stretch wheel. A gimp developer helped me get the checkbox working. Unless I learn new things this will likely be my final filter. Enjoy. Also consider disabling the polar coordinates and adding a manual ripple. That looks cool.

Compiled for Windows 10 64 bit.

I'm going to stick my neck out here so sorry in advance. This 'filter' is ridiculous.

Dunno. Might be great for radial motion effects. Like metal grain in a saw blade? Or a gear perhaps? :)

Or run without the circle option it could make a pretty good plaid cloth filter. :hehe

I just compiled them to see what i could do with them, and to play. But i always upload my compiles to Gimp Chat for anyone who wants to try them.

I see already some potential as I just started playing with it right now, and because it uses the same color as the image itself, in just one click but a different mode... (and I did not even have finished to scroll down the different modes :toke )

That looks better Rod - glad you were able to do something with it. The first examples here turned me off using it - I'm not that interested in doing single canvas work anyway.

Please don't take an eagle, symbol of a great democracy and turn it into an omelette :(

Sorry. Offending anyone was not my intention. Just a preview of what the filter does on a colored image. That was my only intent. I would never disgrace my country. :bigthup

If the image offends you i will remove it. Just let me know.

The smooth for the 1 pixel slit does nothing to remove the slit.

Pixel Stretch is now only one binary with no hidden operations. No changes have been made but now zzoperations are scarce if everything is up to date. They are not hidden any more they are going away like the dodo.

GEGL Effects is now the last filter that uses many unneeded operations and it is going to get fixed when its successor "GEGL Styles" is built.

I noticed there was no meson build file, nor a header file in the download so i used the old ones. Seems fine. Can i remove the zpolar direct link library file?
