Hello Gimp friends! I have a question: The top text is made with text circle (scm). The bottom one with a path. Is it possible in the script to make it so that the bottom text layer can also work this way?
thanks in advance

maybe it depends on your start and finish settings? Have not tried it yet so don't know

Edit: - I cannot figure it out.
Might be easier to do a path as a arc and text along path. If you want your text spaced out give them a couple spaces between.

From what I've seen this script does not produce this result.

Either the script would have to be modified or... you could use the ofn-text-along-path.py plugin which is extremely versatile.

You could use the coin creator plugin to create the text and save yourself a lot of time. You can always borrow from one plugin to use in an image of your choosing.

Another way to accomplish the same effect with minimal effort is to first create a circle for the path. You can either use Stipe's circle, or create one from a selection (and save to Path), be sure to center it on a crosshair guide. Type in the text, text along path. Then, FLIP the circle path vertically, and re-apply text along path. Now, you'll have to rotate both the top and bottom text by using ROTATE with path selected. Simply move the rotate crosshair (plus sign in a circle) to the center of the guide crosshair and move the text into position. Accept.
