This update basically adds a tabbed dialog to the filter to make it more accessible to users with smaller displays. As ever thanks go to Arakne for creating gimpui3 and to MareroQ for making it available to me.
Download (extract if necessary) and install to your user plug-ins folder. The filter can be called from:
Filters>>Custom Font Tools>>Custom Font Metallic Effects v. 0.10 Tabbed…

Some options in the new dialog tabs have been re-ordered and re-worded; two options have also had their values modified in order to produce better default outcomes. Red outlines indicate modified values. I have also given the verdigris texture a slightly random effect when applying to a custom font.

Although there is no preview option as such you can use the ‘Apply filter method’ set to ‘To current layer’: This will apply the settings to only that layer (Use Undo to reverse the effects).
The filter effects remain the same as in version 0.07 and version 0.08 so I will point you to the appropriate links on GimpLearn for more detailed information:
