Pretty cool plugin, but only works in the beta version of GIMP. Even more specific for Windows since the only compile available (thanks samj) is 64-bit GIMP. Still, pretty effect results can be created using it. No preview though (also, I cheated a little in that I did some selective erase throughs on the last flower). :)

Using gimp 2.7.3 portable, tried installing the 64-bit version and it says libgimp-2.0-0.dll is missing from my computer. Now where do I find that? It would have to be installed on the flash drive.

Found this but I don't know how to use the information. Gimp starts fine, just the plug-in is saying it is missing.

I see the file on the flash drive in gimp-2.7.3 > bin

Well duhhhh! I finally figured out how to install the plug-in on my flash drive in Win7. Just not used to the Windows stuff anymore.

Anyway, I copied the exe file into the portable gimp 2.7.3 plug-ins folder and it installed. Have restarted gimp 3 times now and no error messages. It doesn't show up in the Layer menu nor does it show up in the Layers window right-click menu.

I tried to compile this in windows 32 bit and got a pkgconfig error.Setting the correct path still produces the error.
I have gimptool-2.0 in Gimp-2.7.3 , and the path to pkgconfig in lib set, so i wonder what the problem is?
Hope sam can compile it for us poor 32 bit users. :)

Now that would be cool David; then we would have a version that has both preview and works with GIMP 2.6.x. :)

does this work in 2.7.5? if so, which plugins folder is it to be placed under "lib" or "shared"....When I put it in shared plugins...it does not show up under "layer". when I place it in Lib plugins folder I keep getting an error at startup when loading plugins.

basically what I want to do....is apply an image and/or text to a rotating bullet in slow mo....
Image

will this script accomplish this?

thanks...any help is greatly appreciated...

Yes it is for Gimp-2.7 versions interface only. :)
It needs to go into your gimp-2.7/plug-ins folder. :)
Usually that is under your userfolder directory. For instance mine (for Windows), is here.
C:\Documents and Settings\Rod\.gimp-2.7\plug-ins

Once installed you will find it under the Layers menu.

so you're saying this works with 2.7 only or 2.7.x?.....where to place file in the portable version? I do have a .gimp-2.7 folder within this folder(portable) on my desktop and a plugins folder within that..where I placed this file but I still get the error that the plugin failed to start.

update...
nevermind....I dl'd from partha the regular gimp 64bit and installed and it showed up...
