Does anyone have a clue as to why it doesn't show up in the menu for me in Gimp 2.7.3 portable in Win7?

O where did you install it?I believe the Gimp-2.7.3 version has its own .gimp-2.7 folder.
You should find the filter after install under Layer/Clone Layer Tool
Note - you have to have an new document opened first to be able to use the filter.

I put the install file in lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins as instructed over at the Registry. I have been posting over there too.

I used the 64-bit compilation as I have Win7 64-bit on my laptop.

I'm registered over there with two different names. I was finally able to get the Oregonian registration to work, but I'm there as, "zarnad," too.

It did open the file and there's an exe file in the plug-ins folder. If I double click it it says libgimp-2.0-0.dll is missing, but I can see that file in the lib folder. When I start gimp, that exe file should make the plug-in work in gimp.

You should be able to open the portable and find a .gimp-2.7.3 folder there like you would in user docs.
There should be a plugins folder in that folder for extra plugins. That is the way 32 bit portable is set up anyways.

If you have the plugin installed in GIMPPortable\App\gimp\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins it should work anyways.

I started with it there first, then samj said to put it in the lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins folder. Anyway, it didn't work in either folder.

That is really odd.
I have had problems getting plugin executable's to work in portable Gimp 32 bit before also.
Not all but some just seem to not find themselves.Possibly a missing required dll file.
Usually the plugin will tell you which dll file is missing, sometimes it will not though.

You may have to install Gimp-2.7.3 non portable version to get it to work.
The Gimp-2.7.3 32 bit version i have installed works real nice.No complaints yet. :)
So i am sure Partha's 64 bit version works as well.
