I download one of the scripts packs from this site, but a few of them will not work because it says its ::

Procedure execution of plug-in gimpressionist failed.

I'm using 2.8 and it said that they should all work on it. Is there a way to fix it?

Gimpressionist is a replacement not a additional plugin (the same is already included but with a very little preview)

so first you should remove the other version ,( better put in a back up folder )

and is not a installer so click on it will only pop out error messages, it is the plugin itself ,it has to be moved in the plugin folder, replacing the version already there

plugin is at 32 bit but should work also on gimp 64bit

I am sorry, i still do not understand. I downloaded another one of the files.
But when I bring up my folder with all my gimp files in it- they are all empty so idk what to delete.
There is a main file called Gimpressionist but its empty- and so is the plug-in file.

I have not used gimp in over 2 years so im lost lol.

because you are looking in your user folder, that as default is almost empty

you should look in Program Files/gimp/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins (the place for the bundled plugin )

and in 7 should be a lock there so may pop out a message asking to confirm the change
