A new pattern filter quite powerful and flexible...but take care may be very additive !
The type of patterns that may create are, i believe, quite original

The possible variations of colors and shapes are endless ,what is peculiar is the combination of "squared" and psychedelic

here just 2 random example

Image
"Seamless Decò " by PhotoComix_Mandala, on Flickr

as for its companion "Symmetry Master" from tomorrow on my source .
The filter is ready but upload is delicate this time, i must take care to upload also a lot of other new filters
( some new layer mode and the brand new version of Graphic Novel) from which this new filter depend, and found how to do without adding 7 more entries in the Gmic layer menu, that is already quite large

wait a bit this time upload is more complex because i must upload 8 filters together and taking care to place them in the right menu...i believe in about a hour from now would be ready

same for the other

BTW as bonus you will found also a new version of Graphic Novel

PS about the "combination of squared and psychedelic maybe this may clear

All the other filters in the list are now gone. And I still don't see the new filters you mention.

I refreshed after you stated you uploaded.

I need to take a video of what is happening, because I removed everything from both .gmic and .gmic_faves, and the weirdness persists.

www.youtube.com Video from : www.youtube.com

I deleted .gmic_faves, and now, the about folder is acting weird. I don't do anything (I don't click it or anything) and it just cycles through the entire list. If you notice your folder, none of the new filters you posted on are in the list.

now i also see something strange one of my filter is on the very top of the list , ABOVE the faves
humm i opening my file to check better

Edit i can't see nothing wrong in the file but is weird that a filter has 2 entries one on the very top, in a folder that change name at soon i click on it ( from Contours to Colors, then "RGB mixer", now gradient norm

Humm...maybe we hit a bug...i believe naggobot had a similar problem ( the menu getting crazy)

If was my upload temporary uncheck my source should solve,
IF instead are too much filters, then uncheck ANY source should fix

Here i may use all the filters , even that cloned or misplaced v

I found the other filters in the locations you mentioned, so those are all good. Just the Fave list weirdness remains...

Very nice O
Yes i also dislike the preview showing often something different , but i found a workaround, the first preview (at soon you move the controls ) is usually correct , so basically to be sure that the preview is correct i just move slightly some slider and usually that reset the preview to a correct display

I can't fix it because is a problem of a component i used, the Rorscharch filter
this filter combine Rorscharch with Plaid,(it is plaid to give a "Squared" feeling )

I believe that a problem of all gmic filter that use random colors i was thinking to make a similar filter but based on the Trunchet filter, result were cool (here some viewtopic.php?f=11&t=3015&start=0 ) but has the same preview issue

Seamless Deco and Symmetry Master are listed under "Lights & Shadows"

Not sure why.

works great, in any case.

Are there because a "&" in another name in my filter source
, "&" can make the weird things to the gimp menu.
David fix it yesterday so now they should be in the correct place
