A script that follows Molly's tutorial to zoom in on a selection.

Very useful script, Graechan. :bigthup

Since there is already a zoom function in the tools menu, might I suggest that you place it in the filters menu and call it "Zoom Selection".

GnuTux I was already in process of trying to fix my error and have changed name and relocated to Script-Fu/Utils. it's better to relocate as well

Thanks Graechan !
Is in possible future versions, you can add a few options?
- Feather Radius
- Glow Color
- Glow Opacity
For example, the glow-selection.scm

Rod as you can remember Water affects is still with me and I think I will use this code to try and get the result I wanted.

I did not like being beaten by the lighting affects Plug-in, below is quick Image using Zoom-Selection

MareroQ I kept options to a minimum on purpose, but I will look into some of your sugestions.

I hope you can find it usefull, I thought Molly's tutorial waranted a script and I added the animation to give the impression of it being highlighted, the texture option is to add a further distinction between the image and the zoomed selection

For sure it is useful but i would like get a similar result but inverting how the zoom effect is applied

i explain better :
as now the script zoom in,enlarge the content of the selection, but zoom in degrade the image much more than zooming out.

I would love instead a option to zoom OUT the unselected part leaving the content of the selection at original size
So if i zoom to magnify a txt or image that would be clean as in the original, while the rest will suffer less for scaling because scaled down (and anyway the rest is the less relevant part)

i hope it make sense..

An extra option has been added to Zoom-out the background instead. I think this is what you asked for. It's all in Rel2 now
