Tested on Widows 32 bit Gimp-2.6.11 only

Sharpening tool, uses blurred mask. Sharpness is modified with few sliders that work like a kind of equalizer. User can control blurring parameters (radius and threshold for selective blur mask). It provides 4 types of output: Sharpened image, mask, split/comparison mode and mask-to-img differences.
Brightness of image can be affected by levels-like tool that works indirectly - via the mask.

Plugin is multithreaded - new GUI fixes

The plug-in has been updated to include some new GUI changes so i went ahead and compiled it again for win32 only.

You find it in the Gimp menus here

Install Instructions
Remove the old aumask.exe file from your plug-ins folder and replace it with the new aumask.exe file in the zip folder.
Everything is included in the zip including the src files from the compile.

Looks like an excellent filter. Can't wait to try it out on something.
Thanks for recompiling it.

Two questions....

1. Do I need to keep anything besides the .exe file?

2. Which "plug-ins" folder are you refering to, the user\.gimp-2.6\plug-ins folder or the Gimp-2.0\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins folder?

Also I never did find an "old" aumask.exe version to remove.

1 no only the exe
BUT the ReadMe is a file that you may wish to read because explain plugin usage (it is a txt file you may open with the notepad)
2 always use user\.gimp-2.6\plug-ins folder or add new subfolders there (and if so new path from Gimp Edit/Preference/folder/plug-ins

I think PC fielded that pretty well. :)
You probably didn't download the older version Draconian.Hence no "older" aumask.exe file.
In that case just add it to your UserFolder/.gimp-2.6/Plug-ins folder.

Has anyone tested it in Gimp-2.7 install (Parthas version) yet?
I tested it in the Gimp-2.7.5 Portable (Parthas version), and it works but throws the "gimp-image-add-layer"
deprecation warning when clicking "export as a new layer".
The plugin works fine though.

ROD in the partha portable 2.7 must be removed the older version in ...\gimp-2.7.5\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins

BTW for some reason i saw only now your PM, i am just finishing to move all plugin included by partha in the portable in subfolders of.gimp-2.7 /plug-ins from there may be more easily updated, same for included script
i should finish soon then i hope may be recompressed
