I've been using the Wire Worm Photoshop plugin recently. It's very good at what it does, (remove wires) but I've found uses for it removing other things as well. All in all, very useful. The author has a few other interesting plugins.

I downloaded this wire worm plug-in and I guess it doesn't work in Fedora cuz it doesn't show up anywhere. that 8bf extension isn't recognized.

If you have resynthesizer grab my "Resynthesize along a path" script: http://silent9.com/incoming/sc ... g_path.scm

Create a path (multiple sections OK) then run the script by right-clicking on the path and selecting "Resynth Along Path..."
The first parameter is the width of "stroke" and the second is the bordering region to sample for source texture.

I've tested it by creating a path, stroking it with a line on an image, then running the script against the same path. It should also respect selections limiting the path.

thanks RobA, I will give it a try.

Edit: I know I had that plug-in before but it was gone. Anyway, I downloaded it again and these are all the files in the folder. Do I put ALL these in my Gimp plug-in folder?

Just looking a the code I think it works for either as I put in a check:
; RMA check for 11 or 13 parameter version of resynthesizer

But I can't really recall off hand...

Thank you PC, I didn't thing anyone was going to answer me before it got buried.

I put them all in my gimp plug-ins folder and resynthesizer shows up under filters map but resynth along path is in there and it shows when I look in help browsers but it doesn't tell where it is. can't find it anywhere,

Can anyone show me where it should be? RobA? anyone.

I'm not sure what the bordering region does. I ran the script and I get lines for the path. Changing the bordering region doesn't change the results for me.

As often for RobA script in the most logical place...alas is also the last place where most people will look for the script:
in the menu that appear with a RIGHT click on the path tool

My question to RobA didn't get answered:

Bordering Region? That is not an option in my script... Here is an example where I removed some hydro lines from an image I took:

That is a great example and exactly what I am looking for, (how to remove overhead wires)
Is there any chance of a step by step direction how this is done. I have both scripts including the resynthesizer and the resynth to path. I tried several times last night to figure it out.
Help would be appreciated. thanks
