I know some plugins and scripts have a stronger effect on lower res images. Maybe this is the issue?

Could be, my laptop, which is what I usually use is 1024x768 but my desktops (all three of them) are 1280 x 1024 but I seem to get the same results. It's just one of those mysteries of nature, like neckties.

I just tried the script with a fat serif font like yours (Times New Roman Bold).

Monitor resolution will not affect the way GIMP runs the script - pixels are king in GIMP, resolution only counts when you want to print something or import the file into a word/document processing program.

I just looked at the script. It uses the background color for the diamond inset color, so:

Make sure your background color is set to white!

This is what I got with a medium orange background color.

White background did it. Now I'm embarrassed because I didn't think of that. Thanks.

@GMS, could you identify this font in your post? A few people are asking about it. Thanks.

I believe that is Times New Roman Bold.
A font that comes standard with Windows. :)

I don't think so, I have all the Times New Roman and none of them are fancy. Of coarse I may be wrong.

EDIT: I just posted that font on DaFont Forum. Maybe someone will come up with something.
