Compiling GIMP Beautify Plug-in on GNU/Linux: :pengy

Make sure you have at least 2 GB of free space on /home.
Install "git" in your distribution. Also install the development libraries for the GIMP (libgimp2.0-dev on Ubuntu). I guess you also need the headers and basic build tools for your distribution.
Open the terminal and download the sources from GitHub:
git clone https://github.com/hejiann/beautify

When the download is complete enter to the directory:
cd beautify

Run make:
make

On my computer (and Kubuntu 64bits) this has overloaded my CPU and that it took a while.
Install on your /home/USER/.gimp-2.8/plug-ins/:
make userinstall

You must have these binary files in your /home/USER/.gimp-2.8/plug-ins/:
beautify
skin-whitening
rip-border
texture-border

and verify that each one is executable.
You can find the plugin in "Filters" > "Beautify".

Thanks Rod for notice about this plug-in :tyspin

Yes drag them directly to your plug-ins folder. :)
I am currently compiling Texture-Border (not sure how big that one is yet)
But the h file itself is 1 half gigabyte (534 MB)

Your welcome YAFU! Thanks for helping other Linux users. :bigthup

Once again, thanks a lot YAFU.

Thanks for bringing it up Rod. What's the name of that font? The two Iron Maiden like fonts I have don't look too great.

I have that font but it looks different, got it from the same place. Maybe you have the older version. Thanks, though. Molly, as well.

Gave it a try and i like the simplicity of this add-on i get a feeling of instagram style or pixlr type editing and i love both of those editors.

Retro + Old Photos
Brightness -30
Contrast +20

Rod love the Plugins but the procedure browser shows no info except interactive image drawable, any info on how to use the plugins in a script would be useful.

This plugin is a big plugins and do not support use in a script for now, because it do not provide the procedures for all it's features for now.

I will try to provide all these features in gimp procedures 1 or 2 days later. Thanks for provide the requirements. Any suggestion from users will make this plug-in great :)
