Image Shine has 2 scripts
Filters/Beautify/Shine Logo
Filters/Beautify/Shine Alpha

; Rel 0.02 - Added simple Borders from Beautify and fixed error with pink-purple gradient and moved scripts to Filters/Beautify/
; Rel 0.03 - Added More background choices including 1 that does not use the Beautify plugin "Samj's mystery pick"
; Rel 0.04 - Added More background choices Totaling 16 now

You will need to install the beautify plugin or leave background set to "None" or "Samj's mystery pick"

Rods(gimp 2.6 win32bit) Beautify

Rods(gimp 2.8 win32bit) Beautify

(Gimp 2.8 win & linux)Samj Beautify

The scripts are fun to play with and have plenty of menu choices so Enjoy

Thank you very much for the script-fu
Can you add a random function for unexpected effects ? :coolthup
An example for a random gradient (it is similar to a pattern, etc..)
(set! random_gradient (list-ref (cadr (gimp-gradients-get-list "")) (round (random (car (gimp-gradients-get-list ""))))) )
The next version of the plug-in "Beautify" I will add your script-fu in the archive.

At the risk of being a lazy bum for not finding it the hard way... where will I find this? I expected to find it in light and shadow but apparently was wrong.
