1 click to save the original + a jpg and/or a png copy (with same name in same folder)

Believe me is a time saver, and will help to always save the xcf

if ,as me ,you replaced the native png plugin with the apng plugin you obviously will get a error exporting as png
I solved by replacing in the script "file-png-save" with file-apng save" and now png option works again

and the best solution seems to me so evident , as to solve (save +export) everything with a single operation

Actually the script only export as png or jpg but is so well commented and written (thank RobA ) that seems very easy to edit to add more format if requested.

In case anyone wants to know, I did a test comparing RIOT exports and the Save(xcf)+Export (jpg, png) script. I found hardly any difference in the export file sizes. One other observation, if for example your using a reference background layer in GIMP and wish to have a transparent background of a PNG hide the reference background layer before you use this script. Using RIOT or Gimp PNG export you always had the option of keeping transparency.

Thanks for the bump, this will be so handy, so many times have I clicked on the save option to save as a png to be told get lost.

Click "Save XCF and Export" instead then "Save AS xcf and Export" and get a error message

basically " Save and export" requires the xcf previously saved and will overwrite it so it is of a more limeted utility ,

Save AS and export instead will always work offering the option to chose name and place to save

I know it is easy make confusion but the 2 script complete each other
