So, back when I was using GIMP 2.6, and I think back into 2.8, I found this script that showed up under the File > Create > Pattern that generated a custom digital camouflage pattern. And since I have to have GIMP 2.6.12 installed alongside 2.10.22 due to the Lighting Effects plugin bug, I figured I'd see if anyone either still maybe had a copy of the script, or knew where I could find something similar. I almost want to I got it from the plugin registry, but neither the github backup or Wayback Machine backups have it on them, so I'm thinking I didn't get it from there after all. But, if anyone knows the script I'm talking about, has it, or can even point me in the right direction, I'd be ever so grateful.

You will find the old files here: https://github.com/GNOME/gimp-data-extr ... er/scripts Look down the list for the camo script
If you have the gmic plugin installed, you will find a better camouflage filter.

comparison Gimp 2.10.22

Thanks for the effort, but that's not quite what I'm looking for; this script I'm looking for generated the pixelated camouflage, like this kind:

Sorry, had to take your link out of my reply, 'cause of the whole new user status.

Never seen that script. Maybe someone recognises it. The only thing I see is not Gimp https://www.jqueryscript.net/other/Digi ... fy-js.html

Easy to reproduce:
Make the camo pattern
Convert to indexed mode with 3 colours
Apply Blur -> Pixelise

as: https://i.imgur.com/JZUlD11.mp4

or...this is from my plugin-registry archive

I found it!
It's called script-fu-digicamo-pattern, and it's available here, if anyone is interested in it:

Script is listed below, in post #9. It was presented in plaintext form on the page, anyway.

Best part is, it works with 2.10 without any modification :D

Edit 2: Found it.

Edit: That is bizzare. I'm getting the same message now, when I go to that URL. I was on that page not even fifteen minutes ago. Talk about an Indiana Jones and his hat moment!

You''re quite welcome, Dinasset. Honestly, I'm just glad it was found and can live on. It's another one that makes great 'procedural' surface textures for planets, which is what I mainly use it for :)

Q: I installed it, tried it out, but the colors look far too washed out. The digital part of the como, A+. But the respect for the color palette, D- at best. Is there a way for the colors to appear more distinctly?
