Have you got any idea why the following message appears when calling GAP functions?

Any idea how to use the personal shortcut command ctrl+shift+alt+right, ctrl+shift+alt+left (associated with GAP->next frame and GAP-> previous frame respectively)while using the 'Move' :move tool?

  GIMP Warning
Unable to open swap file. GIMP has run out of memory and cannot use the swap file. Some parts of your images may be corrupted. Try to save your work using different filenames, restart GIMP and check the location of the swap directory in your Preferences.

All of a sudden, the previous message appears. How can I deal with that?

Now I can't export the final video from the frames with GAP's Master Video Encoder. The following error message appears:

p_read_encoder_status: ERROR unexpected content in communication filename: C:\Users\C. Gabriel H.C\Desktop\GIMP-PC_Lab-2_8_2-32bits-rc3\PhotoComix\gap_master_videoencoder_progress_8588
PID:8588 id expected: 8588 but found: 27941720

Hi tonysteele,
Do you see any error messages at all?
What version of Gimp and OS do you use?
Does it happen consistently? What steps reproduce the problem?
There is more than one version of Gradient Overlay, where in the menu are you running it from?
Layer->Layer Effects, or FX Foundry->Layer Effects? Try both versions if you have them installed.

No, there is no error message. I'm using 2.8 for windows. Script-Fu>Layer Effect, and it never has worked

LAST MINUTE EDIT

1) You didn't remove any of the build in gradient , correct ?
Could you check if in Edit/preferences/folder/ gradient there is a path for ..Gimp_PC_Lab\share\gimp\2.0\gradient ?
May be that a missed but expected gradient crashes the script, but is strange because should be a error message and at the worst should be only the script to abort no gimp to crash

anyway is worth to check if all default gradients are in place and active

-----------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------
Hy i am working to the new version, but no promises for the time because i stumbled on some problems , also with my hardware , and that is slowing me down

As far i know where no problems with the script.

I tried 2 different versions 1 was python the other a script fu, do you known which is installed ?
i made several revisions trying both... with both i didn't remember problem but of course i could not didn't try all ...
