warp sharp is a powerful and popular sharpening effect, it actually turns stuff into kindof cartoons on a small scale by smudging the most visible colors according to adjustable radius.

here is a page on it, so i installed gimp, although i didnt manage to install warpsharp.scm very well?

please tell me if it works?

it's Another Script-Fu: warp-sharp on google i can't post a link as i am noob.

Not tried it yet, but had something similar with another script, do you need to make a selection first of the part you want to run the filter on.

I tried it with and without the selection and still got the error. The strange thing, it showed the layers, (in screen shot above) but didn't changed the picture. Why is that I wonder.

I think that this problem with Warp Sharp is due to the release of the script.
In my Gimp 2.8.2 I've installed two Warp Sharp script. First one allocated in filter> artistic, which comes from the used for me in gimp 2.6 and isn't work. And the second, in Script-Fu > Sharpness and works perfectly.

This second one was downloaded from here

ok I deleted the other one and download from the site you posted jamac4k.
I ran it and I guess it worked as I didn't get any errors. It made very little change in the default settings. I guess it doesn't create layers like the other one. I am going to tryit some more by changing the settings to see what happens.
