This script comes from a request by K1TesseraEna when posting the result of an Inkscape plugin, in post titled 'A cool text effect'

This is my attempt to reproduce the effect in Gimp

; Rel 0.01 - Initial Release
; Rel 0.02 - Seperated text-background from backgrond
; Rel 0.03 - added random_pattern background fill option and text opactity setting

I can't be thankful enough for all this time you spent on writing and re-writing the script!

You added an extra feature - background option! Now there is nothing i can think of that could possibly make this script better.
The same effect in Inkscape is in Filters>Shadows and Glows>In and Out. It does not have animation option and I made that animation
just to get a better idea about In&Out effect. When I made a request for such a script i thought about your Plastic or Glass script, which came out really great and I figured you'd be one of few persons up to the challenge. Turned out I was right.

K1TesseraEna glad to see you at Flash's new home, I'm a firm believer in the power of Script-fu in Gimp

It's one of many I haven't posted on GimpScripts, GnuTux will give me a rap over the knuckles if I don't lift my game,
but when I ran out of things to do I start posting
