New version of BIMP

The ZIP from the link I posted should contain the following files and folders.

The bin folder contains the 32 bit BIMP plugin.

I used 7-Zip with no problems from the authors web site. You could try downloading from GitHub (ZIP link at the top). If that doesn't work it must be the ZIP program your using is the problem.

I just tested and opened this file test.svg in bimp and converted to test.jpg with 0 errors

Same here i tried a newly created SVG file straight out of Inkscape.
I changed the format from SVG to PNG and JPG with zero errors.

You may want to dl it again.

Notice with the PNG conversion transparency was kept.

Place the entire 32bit folder in your 32bit or 64bit plugins folder and point to it in your preferences,

note! do not forget to find and remove your previous bimp plugin, also the 64bit version from samj did not support svg for some reason

Graechan the only thing i did was overwrite the bimp.exe file and add the DLL file that comes with it.maybe that is what you guys are missing?It should be in the bin folder of the downloaded zip file.

Rod your right the dll file has the extra libraries for the new file extns

Mine is installed the same way as yours. BIMP opens fine, when you try to add SVG files they do not show in the add file or folders dialog. I tried all files and the SVG option, either way the add file dialog does not show SVG's.

Try downloading and installing it again Odin.I think the DLL file has changed.

Try using Dependency Walker 2.2

I'm having issues. Everything is in it's proper place. I tried bimp.exe and pcre3.dll in both \.gimp-2.8\plug-ins and \GIMP 2\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins. I even disabled \.gimp-2.8\plug-ins made a new plug-ins folder and only added bimp.exe and pcre3.dll, still no luck with SVG.

I tried Dependency Walker before, but couldn't nail down the error. All DLL's with errors showing are already present. There are no duplicate DLL's. It's the same errors whether Gimp is running or not.

Rod it functions in your gimp and my gimps Odin wrote about positioning the files so I thought I would add that my folder for bimp is not even in the gimp folder, it is in the user folder and I point to It in preferences for my 32bit and 64bit gimps

There is no reason you cannot add an entire folder of images Just follow these dierections

By the way, if you experience some troubles, please don't pm me in this forum because I don't have the time to check it every day... it's way better to post bugs on the official GitHub page here https://github.com/alessandrofrancescon ... imp/issues

If I understand, some of you have problem when picking images from the classical file chooser. Is the problem limited to SVGs? Also, when you have such problem, please report your system configuration like Windows and GIMP version. It will really help me to discover what's going wrong with my plugin.
