This is a roll back tip ...Because, you know, some scripts, updated for 2.8, become useless for 2.6, so here is a workaround I just found, without you rewriting the script.
For instance, you want this script:
http://registry.gimp.org/node/112 but as it's been updated for 2.8 this is dead-end, then use the wayback machine and pick a prior date to travel back in time and find the old script you need for your gimp version
http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://reg ... g/node/112And voila !
Note:
This is not magical, if wayback machine has not crawled and captured the script or the page you need, the time travel won't work.
