OK here's the silly question. GC has the scripts and plugins repository website.
Why can't Sam's binaries be hosted there? I don't see any of the C plugins there, BTW.
What's the deal?

In general, posting binaries can open up a can of worms. You can end up with many different binary versions, depending on the OS someone is using. If you're not 100% sure of where the binary came from, you could open the door for malware introduction.

There could always be exceptions, though. Perhaps in some cases, binaries could be posted.

In the case of plug-ins like G'MIC, BIMP and others, it's probably best that we create articles describing (and linking to) the plug-in, rather than maintaining a copy of the source and the various binaries.


So maybe a few can be placed there. :)
