Has anyone successfully installed it there?

I did, but I manually installed it. Also, I don't drop plug-ins that carry their own library files into the plug-ins folder. I extract them to their own folder and then point GIMP to them in Preferences.

OK, got it working. Was doing it wrong. Got used to dropping plug-ins into the plug-ins folder in Linux.

How quickly I forgot Windows. Urg!
