This is a late entry. I missed this entirely. Here is how to put borders on the text and not have sparkling on the border.

Looks like Rod and I were both answering in this post. Bun906, look at the image I just posted. At the bottom of the image there is a box to check to animate it. I don't advise you to click the raw layers though like it is in the image.

The Bling Text Logo Script has been updated to Version 2.0. Considering the script is 6 year old and kinda outdated, it was a complete rewrite. Many new features have been added, including various fill options and an Alpha To Logo module for use on a selection.

If a selection is detected, the script will create animated bling from that selection, adding that back to the selected layer, resulting in a 3 frame animation of the layer. If no selection is detected, the script will perform an Alpha To Selection on the active layer, then generate the 3 layer animation.

@Molly - Thanks for taking the time to test out the new version. Your results are excellent, as always.

@Akros - Each bling effect is generated from 3 patterns: 17 x 3 =51 total patterns.

While rewriting the script, it was clear there many are ways to enhance the bling effect, including generating various effects on the fly, which has all kinds of advantages. More frames being one advantage, which would greatly improved the bling effect by smoothing out the "jumpiness" in the animation. The script could also be extended to handle more than 3 external frames/patterns, with a variable number of frames being the most versatile.

These are the kinds of things I have in mind for the few next updates, which could take this script to the next level of blingyness.

lol, I am having a problem with the jumping. I deleted the bg layer and then ran the playback again and it was still jumping.
I will play with it some more during the day and see what I can get. I should be using fatter text for this so the random script doesn't work as well for me combined with your bling

Well, there is only so much that can be done with three frames and admittedly, the existing bling animations have room for improvement, even with only 3 frames.

One idea is to allow custom frames for overlaying animations. Any kind of animation could be overlain and integrated with an existing layer. Rather than a pattern or gradient overlay, it would be an "animation overlay", if you will. In this version of the script. you can do exactly that by selecting "Bling Only" as your Fill Method in the Alpha to Logo module. For example, choose "Bling Only" to add sparkles to the Random Font Script's output to maintain the random colors of the fonts.
