Rel 2.4. (not 2.24  )
Minimum standard: procedures adapted to Gimp-2.10, for File/Create/Logos: added text direction, for Filters/Alpha To Logo: creates a new image from the selected layer.

Remember that the Script-Fu version of the scrolling interface should be compatible with the Gimp version.

Edit: Unfortunately - for the script to work properly, you need two more plugins from post # 283:

edit: attachment removed because there is a newer version available

Where do I put the script-fu scrolling interface file for the logo tool box in order for it to work? I have another script-fu file in order for plugins to work. I was previously using AltWindowDrag.

I added the script fu file, loaded gimp, opened the logo tool box and I don't see the scrollbar:

Hi Mackenzieh.

Two options:

1. The easiest way:
Delete file: User/macke/AppData/Roaming/GIMP/2.10/plug-ins/script-fu.exe
Zip the file: ProgramFiles/GIMP 2/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/script-fu/script-fu.exe and replace script-fu.exe with the newly downloaded one here.

2. Safe When Upgrading Gimp:
Zip the catalog: ProgramFiles/GIMP 2/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/script-fu and delete catalog script-fu
Replace: User/macke/AppData/Roaming/GIMP/2.10/plug-ins/script-fu.exe newly downloaded.

Hi Sallyanne.

GnuTux created a very complex script (merged many Logo scripts into one).
It is very difficult to remember the interesting effect obtained - and it is impossible to test all variants.
I complicated LogoToolBox even more (by adding new options) - but if there are any errors, when I get a full settings dump and an error message I can try to fix it.

I figured it out. All I had to do was rename the script-fu.exe file I had to script-fu.exe.old and place the new script fu file in the folder. It now works.

Hi MareroQ,

The Logo Toolbox works well on my Gimp 2.10.12 Samj's portable. But it has errors when I try to use it with version 2.10.21.

So I updated with the versions made available in post # 271, but although there are no errors in my version 2.10.21 the scrolling interface does not work.

I tested it with version 2.10.12, and ok, it works.

Somehow Script-Fu Scrolling Interface V1.1 For GIMP 2.10.20 Win10_64bit.zip does not seem to be compatible with version 2.10.21.

Below screenshots using version 2.10.12 (ok) vs 2.10.21 (without scrollbar)

@Nidhogg.
Thank you for testing and a very nice example.

@Mackenzieh
Glad you solved the problem - please read the notes below carefully though:

Hi Krikor.

I tested script-fu.exe with a scrollbar with Samj Gimp-2.10.21_64bit version as well and it works fine.
Please make sure you don't have two versions installed? (because first of all there is a bad legend connected with that that the scroll bar causes problems).
Renaming alone may not be enough - it depends if script-fu.exe is in an additional script-fu subdirectory (when the file and directory names are different, the plugin stops working - but Gimp tries to load it anyway - so it's better to remove it after creating a zip copy).
If there are two different versions of a file (unnecessary hassle) the version in the "home" directory is always more important (in the Samj version it is "preferences / plug-ins").
I've also read about the Gimp debugging issue (which creates extra ".debug" subdirectories, this unnecessary workload for the computer - and the regular user never uses this - so it was a type 2 suggestion for Mackenzieh to remove it after ziping it) - however the Samj version doesn't include debug.
If you don't have two versions of script-fu 100% - I can not help and but I will start to believe that that this bar is just a problem (although I've been using the scroll bar for 6 years - without any problem...)

MareroQ you are right! Your deduction was correct.

I checked for the duplicity of the plugin, and in fact in the folder I usually add my plugins there was nothing wrong. However, I found a duplicate of script-fu.exe in the folder lib \ gimp \ 2.0 \ plug-ins \ script-fu.

Now the problem has been solved.
Thank you very much for your attention and solving my problem.

Hi MareroQ,

With the versions provided in post #271 installed, the script runs without errors, but the Bump Pattern is not occurring within the selected area. :(

I think the Bump Pattern should cover the entire selection, but there seems to be an offset and only part of the selection receives the pattern in the Bumped layer.

Would it be possible to find out why this is happening?
Is it possible to recreate this effect or is it just happening in my version?

Thanks in advance.

MareroQ,

LogoToolbox version 2.4
throws this error:

I'm using Windows 10 64Bit. Gimp version is 2.10.20.

Hi Krikor.

I'm sorry but I can confirm Your result.
It won't work properly without the old bump-map and blur-gauss version (from Gimp-2.8).
Since I have it installed (for a long time) I didn't notice the error.
If you do not find this file quickly, let me know (Windows or Linux, 32 or 64 bit) and I will post this file here.

Edit: missing files added.

I looked for an old version of Bump-Map, but I couldn't find it.
However during the search I thought that having two versions of Bump_Map could give some kind of conflict.

Version 2.8 could be functional for Logo Toolboox 2.4, but it could give error in other scripts / plug-ins of version 2.10 (or it would be my imagination).

So I preferred to find a way to manually work around this problem.
Using the 'Fill' layer it is possible to create a new 'Bumped' layer and apply the desired pattern to that layer.

mackenzieh, I was curious about how you have an image on the navigation display but don't have any layers in the layers window?
To use the Logo toolbox, an image (logo / silhouette) with alpha channel is required.

Krikor,
I tried using the LogoToolBox from File>Create>Logos(gimpchat.com)LogoToolBox. I haven't tested out the Alpha to Logo option.

mackenzieh, I don't know what the error message that appears to you means:

Invalid type for argument 1 to gimp-context-set-foreground

I am using the same version (V2.4) on Win10 64 - Gimp 2.10.21

The script fails at some points, like what I mentioned earlier about bump_pattern, but also if I choose plasma in the fill method. But it can be worked around manually.

Try using the Alpha to Logo option to see if you get the same error message.
Try to choose a fill option other than 'Color' (Gradient, Pattern, Glass Color)

Krikor, here is the error message when running the plugin in the above screenshot:

I am using Gimp 2.10.20 64Bit and V2.4 which for me fails and I don't know why. I give up with trying to get version 2.4 to work with gimp 2.10.20 64Bit.

An interesting approach to the problem - but it will produce a different outcome than using bump-map.
I use plugins that were omitted from Gimp-2.10 all the time with Gimp-2.8 - without any problems.
I added the required files to the post #283.

@Mackenzieh
The "naughty girl" misinforms other users and creates a problem on her own request. ;)
The Logo-Toolbox-2.4 has a different location:
File -> Create -> Logos (without gimpchat.com as in version 2.3)
You probably have (a repeated error :yes ) of using the old and new version of the script (search for the old one and delete it :bigthup ).

MareroQ, I am not a "naughty girl". How can I be when I downloaded 2.4 from your post, #271
I also didn't misinform anyone, nor did I create a problem. I found the source. I did have a duplicate file which I deleted. Hopefully it will work.
