Animation W/Shop is a group of Text animations I have put together within the one framework (that I copied from a non functional script some time ago
While the framework takes care of the 'scrolling' and 'Pingpong' effects, it was easy to add animations within
If there are any other default plugins you would like to see Added please let me Know

Hint 1/ the pingpong toggle will help improve the fluency of some effects
Hint 2/ the padding setting sets the gap between the text lines
Hint 3/ doubling your 'Number of Frames' and halving your 'Delay Time' settings will Smooth Animation

Script is for 2.6 and 2.8

Menu Location is Script-Fu/Animation/Animation WorkShop

; Rel 0.02 - Added effect 'Dissolving Text' and improved 'Rolling Text'

; Rel 0.03 - Added additional effects Hues and Swing

; Rel 0.04 - Added additional effects 'Do the Twist' and Added apply a 'Simple-Border' as an option

; Rel 0.05↓ - Changed border to use a border created from any mask file also checked for 2.10 functionality

Just did a Quick update to limit the size of the text until the end of the script to enable the animations to be created faster for larger font sizes

Way cool effect Graechan. :)
Here is the rolling text effect after i did a selection>stroke by 3 pixels on each layer. Is there a way to add this to the script?
Stroke alpha, and by what size?

Here is scroll right to left with roll text effect. I needed to delete frames 0, 1, and 2 to make the animation smooth Graechan. :)
This is set at 100 ms per frame and 25 frames minus the 3 i deleted so 21 frames.

How do I install this?
I have windows 7, the GIMP folder is in Program files instead of Program files (X86) folder.

Do you not have a user folder Moko? (C:Documents and settings/administrator/gimp/scripts) or is it different with windows 7?

I changed the number of frames to 50, scroll direction to upwards, added effects to high seas.
Also looks like I forgot to delete a frame. :gaah

I like the framework you have in this script. The structure simplifies adding new functionality and reminds me of something I'd do.

If I had a wishlist, I'd want some color animations, such as hue and saturation cycling. It would also be really nice to have the option scroll my own images so a manual and/or alpha to selection, where applicable, would be a great addition.

Nice work, Graechan. :2thup

Thank you all for giving it a workout, it's in it's infancy and to keep the menu simple may even need some user adjustments for some effects but I hope all can be positive with this script and appreciate the effort it has taken, and yes I know it has no color effects (on purpose) as i have concentrated on text manipulation for now

Hint 1/ the pingpong toggle may help improve the fluency of some effects

Hint 2/ the padding setting sets the gap between the text lines
