Thank you The Warrior, I had started to add color effects, but this Silly old fella had a fall and injured his wrist and ribs
(what a turkey I triped over my own feet),
will be better soon I hope

I'm cycling the hue on that one. Cycling saturation would create a pretty cool pulsing effect.

There are actually lots of things that one could do to create interesting effects, like sliding patterns/gradients though the text in various directions or by using filters, generate random plasma effects, lava effects or just about anything your imagination can dream up.

What is really needed is a better quality image format for animations. The implementation of GIF is just too limited in color depth to render the kind of smooth gradients needed to produce a really great effect.

We do have APNG but you can end up with some really big file sizes. We need a more versatile file format for animations, with quality compression and support for 8,16,24 & 32 bit color depths.
