Dueling Scripts!! :sfight

Here are my results..

The only thing is that you are calling this option Enviro Logo too. That is probably going to cause a lot of confusion. :hehe

if some constructive criticism is allowed, i dont think these highlights look right
the surface of the text looks in all examples dull, so why would they have a shiny highlight ?
it looks like someone painted a white line on top of the text

maybe an inner glow from centre could improve the look ?

Thanks Esper I'll try to improve gloss or glow within the lighting effects my eyes are not as good as I'd like them to be
GnuTux thanks for the heads up on a good name

Thanks Esper. I figured a thinner font would look better with this lighting. :)
I think a curve on the highlight layer instead of Gaussian blur at 2 would have looked better though.

EDIT: Nope a gaussian blur at 2 works best.
Graechan can you add that option?

I had a chance to test out the script and here is my result after a little tweaking,

Image

I noticed that you removed the detail level, which is a critical parameter in the EnviroMap script. The blur value that you have in there is not critical and can just be hard-coded as 5 in the script. Maybe you can just put the detail level back and hard code the blur.

Thanks, Graechan!
