Thank you very much for your quick answer. :tyspin
No - it's not about the text layer
Each letter is in a different layer as *. Png (or *. Gbr)
And every letter I would like to save to a separate track
Can You write this script?
Please ! :jumpclap

Awesome work Graechan! Many thanks!
Works as intended, no bugs to report. :)

I wouldn't worry about layer groups, not until they make it a real working feature (layer group masking,
blend modes don't get messed up when you group layers, etc.)

Do you think "merge layers" (linked) would be a good function to add to your script?
Right now in gimp you can only "merge down" or "merge visible".

When I was making animations in GIMP I needed badly to duplicate every other layer
(dupl linked) or mirror linked layers. Adding these would save tons of time for animators.
There is ofnuts' python script but it mirrors all layers.
Is any of these doable? Thanks again G!

@K1TesseraEna

I suppose you already know but ALL gmic filters may be used on All Layers or on All visible layers or all invisible layers and output may be a new series of images or layers

It was never a requests to add a option "All linked layers" , i believe because very few noticed the great utility of gmic input/output options , i proposed the others (long ago) but i had no interest for linked layers so i didn't included in the request

I suppose for Ronounours would betrivial to add a "apply to all linked layer" option if convinced of his utility,
You should ask directly Ronounours to because is not something as a add a new filter but a decision on new global option to implement

I'm aware of this, PC.
G's script included these options from the start- all layers, linked, non-linked - in Affected Layers.
It turns into very useful utility script which is going to replace 4 or 5 separate scripts from different authors I have installed in gimp.
GMIC isn't a utility script, no filter option for linked layers is something I can live with.

Thanks Graechan. Image

I was thinking of maybe adding "Clear Selection From All layers", which will clear any active selection from all layers.
Is this possible?

For some reason, the script is grayed out for me. I deleted the old script and installed the new one from Gimp Scripts. Was trying it out in a 4 layer image. I even restarted gimp.
