I wouldnt think this would be a Windows8 problem. Are you using the same version of Gimp that you were using in your other PC? I assume your BRL.scm is in your script folder and you have the latest version. Tux did some tweaking on that script, I think since the last time you were on line.

I have update to 64 bit in the last week Molly, I also had trouble with recognition the script. Originally I looked at security isolating the file. However it wasnt so.

I am not sure but I thought you had to have another script along with BRL to make this work, someone will come along and let you know.

There are new versions of the script and plug-in.

Grab the new version of the BRL script from here and the new version of MLBR plug-in from here.

Yes. The screen shots are from the downloads I made last night. I have downloaded again in case of anomilies. Too few arguments is a puzzler tho?

To few arguments error suggest that you are using the old script and the new V2.0 plug-in.

The new V2.0 plug-in has 3 new arguments so you'll need to the new script V1.5 to match.
